WoodToyCreations.com was created in 2008. We are an online marketer of children's toys. Our mission is to offer quality, safe, and affordable products to assist parents and caregivers in meeting the toy needs of babies, toddlers, and young children.
As educators of young children we are constantly looking for unique, durable toys that offer educational opportunities to enhance growth and development through creative play.
Our team of educators has reviewed the toys for age appropriateness and recommends them for your consideration.
These wonderful natural wooden toys are "Made in Montana" by D and ME (Don and Mary) with utmost care and consideration given to the safety of children. D and ME started as a cottage industry 29 years ago when their children were small and they wanted toys that would last while giving their children hours of creative play. Their grandchildren are still playing with the originals, a test of their lasting durability.
The "second generation" toddler toys were made for their grandchildren, who serve as the test market for new toys before they are added to the collection.
In the construction of these classic wood toys for children Don uses mixed hardwoods, from sustainable forests in the United states. They have a natural, "child safe", non-toxic oiled finish (Watco) that is approved by the National Child Safety Standard Testing Institute. The colored pieces are painted with a water-base, "child safe" toy enamel applied at the factory. These classic wood toys are meant to be used and played with. Our educational toys are made in the USA and sold to individuals, day care centers, pre-schools and medical offices.
